# Prediction Trading

> Explore round-based Up/Down Prediction, independent Custom Prediction orders, and time-window Prediction Grid orders.

6MM prediction trading lets users select a price direction or a price-and-time region, place a stake, and receive a result under the selected game's rules. Available games, symbols, periods, and limits depend on the configuration enabled for your partner platform.

## Choose a game

| Game | What you select | Trading unit | Result basis |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Up/Down Prediction | Up or down in a scheduled round | A round with individual user orders | Settlement price compared with the round opening price |
| Custom Prediction | Direction and duration when placing an order | An independent order | Settlement price compared with that order's opening price |
| Prediction Grid | A price interval and a future time window | One independent order per selected cell | Price enters or crosses the interval during its valid window |

## The participation journey

1. Enter through your authorized partner platform and check available funds.
2. Select a game, symbol, and the relevant round, duration, or cell.
3. Review the stake, offered odds, expected payout, and time conditions before submitting.
4. Check the accepted order and its recorded terms.
5. Follow the result, actual payout, and account transaction after settlement.

## Prediction and perpetual contracts

Prediction orders record a stake and a result condition. Perpetual contracts use positions, margin, leverage, and liquidation rules. Sharing a mark-price source does not make their account flows or settlement rules interchangeable.

Prediction uses the funding account and its prediction-frozen balance. Read [Accounts and Balances](/prediction/accounts-balances) before following a perpetual-account transfer guide.
